The ERASMUS+ project on Employability in Programme Development in Higher Education, in which Professor Kristinn Hermanssonn is CR&DALL's lead investigator is offering a series of events in July 2023 in Barcelona (14 July) and online through four webinars (18 and 19 July). Flyers for each of the events, in which registration links are featured are attached below.
The events are:
- In person international event in Barcelona on the 14th of July - The Employability in Programme Development Congress (this event, see flyer featured below and attached);
- 18th of July webinar events discussing the outputs from Output 2 and 3 (see attachment):
- Webinar 1 - Employability pilot survey for informing the practice of HE professionals;
- Webinar 2 - Prototype Employability Dashboard;

19th of July webinars discussing the case studies gathered in Output 4 (see attachment):
- Webinar 3 – Institutional interventions;
- Webinar 4 – Interventions at course/subject level.
Employability in Programme Development in Higher Education
The Congress aims to share the findings of the EPD ERASMUS+ project and to bring together academics, policymakers, and practitioners to explore innovative approaches to programme development in higher education that can enhance graduates’ employability.
Featuring 2 Keynote speakers (Prof. Tristram Hooley and Prof. Lisa Taylor), panel discussions, and interactive workshops.
Key Themes:
- Best practices in EPD: this theme will focus on best practices for developing academic programmes that align with industry needs and equip students with the skills and knowledge required for success in the workforce. Dr. Dickon Copsey
- Showcases of the use of ai in EPD: this theme will examine how ai can support researchers and employability experts. two dashboards will be demoed, one for each target audience. dr. corneliu cofaru and Prof. Johan Loeckx
- Discussion of what skills employers in different countries and sectors look for in new graduates. Prof. Simonetta Longhi 4.Innovations in programme delivery: this theme will focus on international evidence on employability practices in higher education.
Expected Outcomes:
- Communication and feedback about EPD project achievements;
- A better understanding of how academic programmes can be designed and delivered to enhance students' employability;
- Identification of innovative approaches to programme development and delivery in higher education;
- Development of a roadmap for enhancing employability through programme development in higher education;
- Enhanced collaboration and partnerships between higher education institutions and industry.
