This is an online event
A growing challenge for all researchers, and especially for those in Social Sciences like Adult Learning Education, is to demonstrate the social impact or concrete benefits to the educational practices and policies that result from their research projects. Both policy makers as society are concerned with the use and the returns to society of the investment that is being done to the researchers, and so evaluation agencies are increasingly taking into account this dimension.
However, the measurement and the storage of these impacts are less developed. The webinar will present the advances in that field from the experience of the EC FP7 project “IMPACT-EV, Evaluating the impact and outcomes of EU SSH research” (2014-2017), which aims at developing a permanent system of selection, monitoring and evaluation of the various impacts of Social Sciences and Humanities research, with a very special attention to the social impact of research.
This lecture will be provided by Dr. Maria Padrós:
Dr. Maria Padrós is lecturer at UB. She has participated in different international research of great relevance, focusing her contribution on the efficiency of democratic processes as well as the promotion of the social impact. She has published in international different journals of great impact.
