I had the pleasure of attending and presenting a keynote of the topic of Big Data and Adult Education at the Fifth International Conference on Adult Education, Education for values – continuity and context, which was held in Iasi, Romania – April 25th–27th, 2018 and Chisinau, Moldova - April 27th–28th, 2018 under the overall leadership of Prof. Laurențiu Șoitu, Alexandru Ioan Cuza, University of Iasi.

There were many highlights in both countries with contributions from many nearby states including Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Poland and the Ukraine as well as other parts of the world. A plea from from Prof. André SCHLÄFLI, director of the Swiss Federation for Adult Learning SVEB  and former Chair of the International Adult and Community Education Hall of Fame, Oklahoma University, US  for a Think Tank in Adult Learning, stands out in my memory as does an excellent deconstruction of SDG4 and lifelong learning policies in the European Union from Prof. Katarina Popović, Department for Andragogy, Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade.
